Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Garabed Antranikian
Vita
Professor Antranikian is head
of the Institute of Technical
Microbiology at Hamburg University
of Technology. He has more than
25 years of experience in the
field of extremophiles research.
His focal research objectives
comprise psychrophilic, thermophilic
and hyperthermophilic microorganisms
and the application of their
enzymes in environmentally friendly
processes. He is co-founder
of the ISE and editor of the
Extremophiles Journal. In 2004
Prof. Antranikian received the
German Environment
Award by the German Environmental
Foundation.
